What Does Your Hair Color Say About You?!

It's Monday again! -__-
As monotonous as Mondays usually are,
I've decided to switch up my blog posts a bit today.v
I switched up my hair color recently,
and I thought about doing a little post about how my hair color matches my personality!
Since this is usually (though definitely not exclusively) a makeup/nails blog,
I don't post as often on hair care products OR show my own hair.

My new color turned out to be a wine-ish/purple color...
 depending on the light.
At first, I was worried it was too purple...
but now- I LOVE IT.
Here are a few pics:

(natural light)

(indoor lighting)

So what is the technical name of this color??!
... no idea. haha :)
BUT, when I sat down to actually think about the color and it's relevance to my personality,
I realized they coincide very well.

To me,
this color is feisty, confident, and sultry.
I'm a meager 5'2", but I'm a lot of feisty energy in a small package :)
You can't be a special education teacher, the mother of a 3 year old, and play soccer with 30 year old men & NOT be feisty!

I've also always been a self assured, confident woman,
and I feel like this bold color requires/reflects that of a person.

Lastly,
a deep wine color such as this immediately invokes something sultry to me.
I love to empower women to embrace the sexy side of themselves,
and a hair color such as this really reflects that aspect of my personality, too.
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Really...
I didn't know it at the time,
but I've picked a hair color that is totally synonymous with my personality :D

NOW-
WHAT'S YOURS?
I'm extremely curious what all my followers' hair colors are & how they reflect their personality.
Thinking of changing your hair color like I did?
Check out this amazing, personalized Color Advisor from Madison Reed!
Just answer a few, quick questions and get awesome recommendations!
Haven't heard of Madison Reed? They're a hair dye company that I stumbled upon that has
reengineered hair color, making it a healthier salon-quality alternative.
Their dye is free of PPD, sulfates, resorcinol, ammonia, AND gluten!
How cool is that?!
It doesn't get any easier :)

November favorites!

I haven't been blogging regularly enough to even have a 'favorites' post these past months,
but I'm finally making it up for that today :)

BEHOLD, my favorites (some that I blogged about, some that I didn't get around to)
from November!

1. EOS chapstick in 'Green Mint'

I love EOS chapstick.
It lasts forever and works fantastically.
What I like best about this 'Greent Mint' flavor is the
(duh) minty flavor :) It reminds me of winter/the holidays,
so I think now is a perfect time to go buy it.
If your lips are as chapped as mine,
it will be a welcome reprieve! :)

You can find these almost anywhere, from Target to Walgreens- & stores like them.

I did a post on this bad boy the other day here.
Basically, it's perfect for the holidays.
I don't regularly use powder at all,
but I make an exception for this one.

I reviewed this mascara the other day,
and it's UH-MAZING.
See my full review for the details! :)

4. Yes to Carrot's Shampoo & Conditioner

So I originally bought this brand because I wanted to try something without all the harmful chemicals that mainstream brands use.
Carrots seemed different but not too wacky.
Turns out, (I didn't pay close attention) and it's actually for a dry scalp O_o
Lucky for me that I bought this,
because the cold weather this past month has caused my scalp to be super dry.
It's never flaked before,
and it's super irritating and embarrassing.
This product, though, helps immensely with that.
PLUS, it's made out of completely safe ingredients AND makes your hair smell good :)
I definitely suggest this brand for anyone who is struggling with a dry scalp
and/or just wants a safe and healthy alternative!

I did a review on this lipstick here.
It's been one of my favorite, go-to Fall lipsticks.
I love all Maybelline lippies,
and this doesn't fail to disappoint! :)

June favorites!

ahhh, HOW is it already July?
last month flew by so fast, it's unreal.
But alas, it's over- and it's time for my end of June favorites.

First off, let me start by saying THANK YOU to everyone that's already entered my giveaway!!
Also, lots of you have given me some great feedback and suggestions,
and I really appreciate it! :)

Okay, on to my favorites
(and forewarning, they all somehow have to do with smells this month!):

Bath & Body Work's 'Coconut Lime Breeze'
This fragrant mist is one of my top favorite scents for summer.
The coconut gives it that wonderful, beach-y feeling,
and the lime keeps it from smelling too much like tanning lotion.
All in all, it's a great mix that has great staying power.
AND, it's only $11 !

Next up,

Herbal Essence's 'Hello Hydration' products.
I've picked these strictly on how they smell, lol :)
I have pretty long hair (and being that it gets in my own and other's people's faces all the time, though its mostly accidental)- so I want to smell delightful, if I can make it so.
This also has a beach-y smell, as it's made with Hawaiian coconut and orchid extract.
Yummy!

Lastly,

Tarte's 'Celebutante Dry Oil Shimmer Spray'
This spray smells FANTASTIC and gives your body that shimmery, summery glow.
Though it's a product i orgininally used in winter time,
it ALSO smells of coconut (shocker! I think we have a theme here...),
and works perfectly well for summer, too.
This IS a bit pricey, going for about $30 at Sephora or Ulta.

That's it (oddly enough) for my June favorites.
I've had such little time to explore much of anything new last month with my stressful schedule, but July is looking muchhhhh more open ;p
Thanks for reading!
