Valentine's Day nail art & mani

Ya'll know I'm NOT good at nail art.

I saw a design on Pinterest that I wanted to try and recreate...

It turned out pretty crappy.

But i'll post anyway!

This is SUPPOSED to be heart shaped balloons.

But... yeah.

Didn't quite work out.

I got my hand to stop shaking long enough to do a somewhat decent job

on the hearts, but the black strings are wayyyy too thick.

Also, I have a super girl and simply mani for you:

This topcoat is one of the first indie polishes I ever bought

a couple years ago.

This is 'Monsta Love' from GlitterDaze.

Winstonia Hearts

So I pretty much suck at stamping,

but every now and then I'll try it.

Here's a time that I've tried it and it actually looks somewhat okay!

Here's a cute heart pattern from one of my Winstonia plates:

I used CG's 'Cranberry Splash' as a base,

Sally Hansen's 'White On' to stamp with,

and Winstonia plate W102.

The white wasn't as bold as I would have liked,

but the pattern still transfered okay :)

Yay!

Daily Lacquer- 'I'll Fly Away'

So I have the second of the two Daily Lacquer polishes I bought back around Valentine's Day for you today. (see the first one here).

I'm much less pleased with this one,

and for some reason my camera (or the polish) WOULD NOT cooperate with the other :/

That being said, here's 3 coats of 'I'll Fly Away'.

'I'll Fly Away' is a "light turquoise (uhhh?) crelly polish" filled with matte pink hearts & flowers. It would have been a good idea for a V-day polish, but I feel that it's easily a good one for Springtime, too.

Formula: Pretty good

Opacity (1-5): 3

Application: Pretty good

I was pretty disappointed with this polish :/

 The glitter got lost & it just didn't look as good as I was expecting.

 However, the other I tried of hers I like very much,

& she has some pretty rad looking new polishes on her website! :)

'With Love'

Hello again!

Time to V-day post #2.

I've been saving this one to be posted ON Valentine's b/c it really epitomizes it for me.

Here's 1 coat of Rockstar Nails' 'With Love' over 2 coats of Zoya's 'Kiley'.

'With Love'  is a clear base packed with white, red, & black jumbo hearts. 

You definitely have to go fishing with this one.

But, the overall effect is still nice.

Formula: Okay

Opacity (1-5): 1-

Application: Okay, DEF. have to do some fishing with this one. No other way.

Get This: For right now, it's sold out/no longer available, but i'm sure it will come back because its been available on her site for a long time before the holiday.

'Heart Burn'

Hey guys.

I've got a polish from All That Glitter's Valentine's Day collection for you today.

If you're a regular reader, you know ATG is one of my favorite indie brands :)

Here's 3 coats of 'Heart Burn'.

'Heart Burn' is a hot pink jelly base jam packed with different glitter. There's teeeeeeny circular white & black glitter, teeny tiny silver bar glitter, iridescent micro glitter, & jumbo sized white & black hearts. I really like how she used the bar glitter here. I usually hate bar glitter, but it's tiny & sparse enough that it compliments the polish very well :)

Type: Glitter Jelly

Formula: Good!

Opacity (1-5): 3

Application: Great, but you really have to dig out the hearts.

Price:  $8
