"Can I get a Untz-Untz?!"

Well, my summer is officially over halfway over.
:/
Teachers have to be back in less than a month.
BUT, I'm still in summer mani mode,
so I'm keeping those coming.

Today's mani features the happy glitter from CG's Electric Nights collection,
'Can I get a Untz-Untz?" over CG's 'Boho Blues':

'Can I get a Untz-Untz?" has variously sized lime green, purple, neon green, and neon blue glitters.
I didn't really even notice the purple glitter until I swatched it,
and I'm glad they used all of the the 'cool' colors for this glitter.
I actually really liked it over 'Boho Blues', as well.

As with the other glitters from their summer collection,
formula was GREAT, and I didn't have to fish for any glitters a single time.
:D

That's saying something!

CG's 'Point me to the Party'

I have a lively, happy glitter for ya'll today.
After being at Bonnaroo this past week,
I'm all about some bright/happy/neon/hippie stuff.

Hence, I FINALLY watched 'Point me to the Party' from CG's Electric Nights collection.
I've swatched it over Essie's 'Muchi Muchi':

This reminds me strongly of a neon glitter that Polish Me Silly (previously Lush Lacquer) put out a couple years ago.
Consistency was great, and I actually did NOT have to fish for glitters- which was awesome!
I love it :)

GG's 'More to Explore'

This is the last polish I have from CG's Spring Roadtrip collection,
and it's a nice Summer polish, too.

Here's 3 coats of 'More to Explore':

'More to Explore' is a bright, peach cream. The formal was 'eh', as was the formula for most of this collection. By the time they released Electric Nights, however, they made up for it.

Regardless, this is a beautiful, happy color that I love wearing on my short, messed up nail :P

CG's Electric Nights Summer collection- 'Treble Maker'

Happy Weekend!
It's a nice, long 3-day weekend for tons of people here in the States.
Lots of sunshine, boating, drinking, eating, and general partying is going on :P
As such, I have a bright, party-isn neon for you today.

I have to apologize in advance for my nails.
I had to pack up my classroom for the summer,
and the boxes/moving were not kind to my nails :/

Anyway, here's 2 coats of 'Treble Maker'.

'Treble Maker' is a neon lime/blue-green that is sure to draw attention.
Formula was good; not streaky or thin like CG's Spring collection.
Opacity was good- it only took 2 coats to reach :)

CG's Electric Nights collection- 'Glow with the Flow'

Ittttttt's almost May!
What?! How is that even possible?
Anyway, May = summer, and summer = neons.
THUS, I have yet another neon from CG's Electric Nights collection :)

Here's 3 coats of 'Glow with the Flow':

Just as it looks, 'Glow with the Flow' is a vivacious neon pink :)
It's probably one of my favorites from the collection, as simple as it is.
Consistency was good, and it took 3 coats- but it was opaque after that.
I love it! :)

CG's Electric Nights collection- 'Home Sweet House Music'

Sorry I've been so MIA lately!
The end of the school year is crazy for teachers.
As such, I've had literally no time to blog, create looks, and I haven't even had my nails painted half the time :(( Sad.

Anyway, I found some time today to quickly swatch a new neon I got form CG's Summer 2015 collection Electric Nights.
I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS COLLECTION.

I love neons anyway, but I'm a pretty bug EDM fan & go to a ton of shows,
so this collection is right up my alley ;)

First up is 'Home Sweet House Music'.
Here's 3 coats:

'Home Sweet House Music' is a pretty typical, lovely neon orange.
It reminds me of 'Sun Worshiper' from their 2010 Poolside collection.
The consistency was a little watery,
but overall- I like it :)

CG's Spring 2015 Collection- 'I Brake for Colour'

Well, this is the second to last of my Spring polishes from CG
(it's about time to break out their neon summer collection! :P)
Today's post is just a straight- forward, red/pink creme.

Here's 2 coats of 'I Brake for Colour':

This polish's consistency was a bit better than some of the others from the collection.
It was pretty opaque and not nearly as watery.
Progress!

Stay tuned for CG's BAD A neon collection in the next week or so!

Polish 'M- 'Spring Style'

Happy Sunday Sunday!
I have a great Spring polish for you today.
I'm sure all of you have heard of Polish'M.
Today's post is my first ever polish from them,
and I was very impressed.
Here's 2 coats of 'Spring Style'.

'Spring Style' is a pastel pink base with a slight, iridescent/pastel purple shimmer to it.
Alos, you can see that it has almost every color of glitter imaginable.
These glitters come in little, medium, and large hexes, circles, and squares.
It's just perfect.

China Glaze Spring 2015 Roadtrip collection- 'Boho Blues'

Happy Tuesday!
It's in the 70's all week here this week,
and aside from my seasonal allergies-
it makes me so ready for Spring! :)

Here's another polish from CG's 2015 Spring Roadtrip collection,
'Boho Blues'!
(3 coats)

'Boho Blues' is really more of a periwinkle color than a blue.
It reminds me slightly of Essie's 'Bikini So Teeny' from a year or two ago.
It's lovely!
It's not my favorite color for my skin tone,
but it's a solid polish.

China Glaze Spring 2015 Roadtrip Collection- 'Wanderlust'

Happy Friday!
I'm going to see Flux Pavilion tonight,
and I'm beyond stoked.
It's been a couple years since I've seen him,
and I need a night out :P

Anyway,
I have another lovely polish from CG's new Spring Collection.
Here's 2 coats of 'Wanderlust':

'Wanderlust' is a pastel lilac creme with slight light orange shimmer
(you can see this very faintly in the first & second picture).
It actually reminds me faintly of 'In a Lily Bit' from their Spring collection last year,
but I like it all the same! :)

China Glaze Spring 2015 Road Trip Collection- 'Pack Lightly'

Spring is officially here in Tennessee, finally!
To celebrate, I'm breaking out the polishes I bought from China Glaze's new Spring collection.
The first of many is 'Pack Lightly'.
Here's 3 coats:

'Pack Lightly' is a pastel, orange cream colored creme polish.
It was a bit more watery than I would have liked,
but the color and finished product is lovely.
It reminds me faintly of the pastel orange Sinful Colors put out for their spring collection 2 years ago.

Zoya Pixie Dust in 'Thea'

So this is the second of the two Pixie Dusts I purchased recently.
I was in love with Lux,
and now here's 2 coats of Thea:

'Thea' is a "deep amethyst with an orchid flash", and it's clearly packed heavy with Pixie Dust holo glitter. I've seen this watched before & I was in love.
The purple/fuschia hybrid color is gorgeous for sure.
The sparkle of the glitter was nowhere near what I saw with Lux, though,
so that was somewhat disappointing.

It's pretty nonetheless! :)

3/1/15

Zoya Pixie Dust 'Lux'

I've only tried one other Pixie Dust from Zoya before,
but I loved it. SO, I was very anxious to try another one.
When Zoya had their last promo,
I scooped up two.

Here's the first: 'Lux'

'Lux' is a "rose quartz" Pixie Dust. They claim opacity is a 4 (on a scale of 1-5), but I would say it's closer to a 3. Here, I've got 2 coats of it over Covergirl's 'Constant Candy'.
I couldn't completely capture the jaw-dropping sparkle of this bad boy,
but it's close enough.
Needless to say, the sparkle & shine is INSANE.
Definitely beautiful!

OPI: 50 Shades of Grey collection- (part 3)

Happy Valentine's Day! :)

This is my third and final post showcasing OPI's 50 Shades of Grey collection.

I'd love to say we are ending this on a high note,
but- we aren't.
The two polishes I have for you today I'm posting more out of duty than because I like them.
Sad.

First is 'Romantically Involved'.

I love a good red as much as the next girl,
but... this really was anticlimactic.
It's got a pretty color, no doubt.
(it actually reminded me of a less good version of their Lost on Lombard),
but the formula was crap.
Definitely not something you really need to drop some money on :/

The worse of the two is this sad little number-
'Dark Side of the Mood'.

The coolest part about this polish is it's name.
This was the most watery of all the polishes.
It took a good 3 coats to even look somewhat opaque.
Truly, it's just really dull.

I hate to end the collection this way,
but, there you have it!
:)
