Not Too Polished- 'The Eyrie' & beauty mail!

Hello!
I have my final Game of Thrones polish from Not Too Polished to show you today.
Here's 2 coats of 'The Eyrie' over 1 coat of Essie's 'Bikini So Teeny'.

'The Eyrie' is a bluish-lavender jelly based filled with white micro glitter, large silver holo hexes, and giant white hexes. It does it's name justice. For those who don't know, the Eyrie (homestead of the House of Arryn) is in the North of Westeros. The castle sits super high on a cliff, and as you wind your way up to it, you eventually come through snow and then finally, high above the mountain tops around you. This polish looks exactly what the Eyrie seems to me to be!

POLISH INFORMATION
Brand: Not Too Polished
Type: Jelly glitter
Formula: Good!
Opacity (1-5): 3-4
Application: Good!
Price: $7.50 for full size bottle
Get This: her Etsy site

I really liked this polish.
It's a unique color & went on great.
May definitely have to buy the other 2 GoT polishes she makes!

Side note,
more beauty mail finally came in today:

WOOOO! Can't wait to try those bright mattes.
You all definitely have some bright summer looks headed your way in the next month or so!
:)

nail/beauty mail & SC Sugar Rush Collection- 'Candy Coated'

Hello everyone.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately,
been a super busy past several days.

First up,
I bought my first Lime Crime palette the other day,
and it came in! yay!
Here are the swatches over Too Faced's Shadow Insurance:

Also,
it's been a long time since i've bought any new stamping plates.
After seeing them on Makeup Withdrawal's IG,
I purchased my first Winstonia plates!

The box was a little beat up, but everything arrived okay.
Here are my favorites :)
Yay! Can't wait to try these out.

Finally,
here's the second to last polish from Sinful Colors' Sugar Rush collection-
'Candy Coated'.

'Candy Coated' is a lovely lilac creme with subtle shimmer. I'm so in love with shades of purple like this for Spring this year. So delicate and happy :)

POLISH INFORMATION

Type: Creme
Formula: Pretty good!
Opacity (1-5): 4

Serendipity Inspired- 'Hucklebug'

Alright, it has been WAY too long since i've done another look for my makeup series, 'Serendipity Inspired'.
(for background info on the basis of this series, go here).
I've been itching to do another one, but Christmas & Valentine's just had too much associated with it. Now that things have slowed down, I'm ready.

Today's look is based off of 'Hucklebug'.
(and this picture particularly)

The moral of this story is to learn from your mistakes, so they become lessons :)
A fine moral, indeed.

Based on the vivid colors in this picture (which came out duller than they really are),
here's the look!

Swatches:
MUG's 'Razzleberry'- waterline
unnamed blue from Sephora palette- crease
UD's 'Peace'- brow bone

UD's 'Graffiti' & unnamed green from Sephora palette- outer lid
UD's 'Penny Lane' & unnamed orange from Sephora palette- inner corner

Since the picture has mostly green & orange, I wanted to make those my predominant colors.
I'm not sure what I think about the red on my lower lash line, though.
I think it might have looked better somewhere else...
All in all, I like the look okay. Definitely a new color combo for me!
What do you guys think?
Thanks for reading!

MAKE SURE to check the end of yesterday's post for a little 'thank you' to my followers!!
;)

'Bubblegum' tutorial!

Hey everyone.
I've had a few people ask me about doing a tutorial for the 'Bubblegum' look,
so I obliged!
In case you didn't see the post,
this look used all unnamed pinks from a Sephora palette,
plus 'Raspberry' from BFTE.

1. On a primed lid, sweep the lightest pink of the pink trio on the inner corners outwards, using a flat shadow brush.**You'll notice a lot of fallout with the Sephora shadows,
but that will be taken care of at the end :)

2. Using a fluffy brush, sweep the lightest pastel pink from pt. 2 of the palette on brow bone.

3. Using the shadow brush again, apply the matte pink to rest of lid.

4. Using a thin liner brush, apply the darkest pink to the crease.

5. Using a different fluffy brush, blend 'Raspberry' over the crease.

6. Using a short, square, thin brush, apply shadows under waterline the same order as one lid, lightest to darkest. Also, finish blending together everything up top so it looks fluid.

7. Apply eyeliner & mascara. Also, dab a bit of foundation on a makeup sponge & swipe under both eyes with it, picking up any fallout.

Tada!

What do you guys think?
I haven't done many tutorials before,
so was this one helpful?
Let me know! :)

January Favorites!

Alright guys,
it's that time again!
Here's my favorites from this past month:

I've been using this bad boy for over 5 years, & it's about time I blogged about it!
I'll do a full review of it later, but this is basically the BEST moisturizer i've ever used.
Especially with the dry, cold weather we have nowadays- this stuff is fantastic.
Not only does it smell great, but it leaves my skin feeling super smooth & lovely!
(Not to mention all the benefits to your skin)
You can get this at Murad.com or beauty stores like Ulta for $33.

So far I've only tried is brand in 'Constant Candy', but I was so impressed that it has to be added to my favorites list, & I HAVE to buy more. It's the longest lasting polish I've tried in a long time, and it's just about $5! How awesome is that?!?

This was my first time trying any Sephora shadows or glosses,
and though I haven't tried all of them yet- i'm very impressed from what i HAVE tried.
Great pigmentation & staying power.
NOT TO MENTION that I got this entire palette for about $30 :)

What are ya'lls thoughts about these products?
What is your favorite product from January?

Grey & Black trio from Sephora Smoky Studio ll palette

Hello everyone.
I have my final trio look for you today from the Sephora palette.
This trio came from pt. 3.

Here's the trio:

The black, medium grey, and light grey are all matte shadows.
This is the first time i've used all matte shadows in these shades,
and I actually like it!
I still struggle a bit with blending,
but with all the mattes in this palette, i'll have tons of practice.

What do you think?
Thanks for reading! :)

'Maldives Sky' look

Heyyyyyy!
Today is my last day of Winter break :/
BUT, Tanner & I got some great news yesterday
so we're apt/townhome hunting today at some really cool places.
I'm stoked :)

Anyway, the other day I swatched Wet N Wild/Fergie's palette 'Maldives Sky'.
Here is the look I created!

**Close up

Tada!
There are 5 shadows in the palette, & I tried to use them in the most logical place that would be easy to replicate, even if you're not adept with makeup! It just takes a little blending.

I was surprised how much I liked this look. The shadows surprisingly had pretty great pigmentation. I LOVE these colors together; it reminded me of the colors in the children's book 'he Rainbow Fish'!

What do you guys think?
Let me know! :D

Sephora Smokey Studio ll- Pt. 3

Alright guys,
I've got the third and final installment of the Sephora palette for you today.
The first section was sexy, bold colors.
The second post featured bright, earthy, & jewel tones.

This final section is comprised of soft and neutral shades.
I'm afraid some of the shadows are so close to my skin tone that they're hard to see,
but I did the best I could!

As usual, these shadows are a variety of shimmery satins, mattes, and 1 or 2 glitters.

Glosses:

To match the shadows,
the glosses are neutrals or dusty rose shades.
Super versatile!

I'll have some posts with looks from each section up here soon!
Thanks for reading :)

Sephora Smokey Studio ll swatches- pt. 2

Hey everyone!
I've got part 2 of my swatches from my new Sephora Smokey Studio palette.
(To see the first part, go here).

Today I have the middle part of the palette to show you.
It's all vivid colors & warm jewel tones :)

Again, this palette is made up of mattes, glitters, and shimmery satin shadows.
 Love it!

Each section also has 3-6 glosses. Here are the ones paired with the jewel tones.

The one on the left is actually a super glitter cherry red,
but it's much less opaque than I thought it would be.

I've already created a few looks with this palette,
and I can't wait to show you guys!
I have some other posts to get to first, though ;)
Thanks for reading!
