CG's Electric Nights Summer collection- 'Treble Maker'

Happy Weekend!
It's a nice, long 3-day weekend for tons of people here in the States.
Lots of sunshine, boating, drinking, eating, and general partying is going on :P
As such, I have a bright, party-isn neon for you today.

I have to apologize in advance for my nails.
I had to pack up my classroom for the summer,
and the boxes/moving were not kind to my nails :/

Anyway, here's 2 coats of 'Treble Maker'.

'Treble Maker' is a neon lime/blue-green that is sure to draw attention.
Formula was good; not streaky or thin like CG's Spring collection.
Opacity was good- it only took 2 coats to reach :)

CG's Electric Nights collection- 'Glow with the Flow'

Ittttttt's almost May!
What?! How is that even possible?
Anyway, May = summer, and summer = neons.
THUS, I have yet another neon from CG's Electric Nights collection :)

Here's 3 coats of 'Glow with the Flow':

Just as it looks, 'Glow with the Flow' is a vivacious neon pink :)
It's probably one of my favorites from the collection, as simple as it is.
Consistency was good, and it took 3 coats- but it was opaque after that.
I love it! :)

CG's Electric Nights collection- 'Home Sweet House Music'

Sorry I've been so MIA lately!
The end of the school year is crazy for teachers.
As such, I've had literally no time to blog, create looks, and I haven't even had my nails painted half the time :(( Sad.

Anyway, I found some time today to quickly swatch a new neon I got form CG's Summer 2015 collection Electric Nights.
I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS COLLECTION.

I love neons anyway, but I'm a pretty bug EDM fan & go to a ton of shows,
so this collection is right up my alley ;)

First up is 'Home Sweet House Music'.
Here's 3 coats:

'Home Sweet House Music' is a pretty typical, lovely neon orange.
It reminds me of 'Sun Worshiper' from their 2010 Poolside collection.
The consistency was a little watery,
but overall- I like it :)

My Little Pony makeup series- Rarity

It's time for another installment in my My Little Pony makeup series!
Today's look is based off of Rarity:

Rarity represents the element of generosity in the series.
I decided to use her bold, white color as the main ingredient in my look,
with her mane and eye color as accents.
Here's what I came up with:

I used:
UD's Primer Potion
Sugarpill's 'Tako' & Sleek's 'Cream Soda'- lid
Sleek's 'Parm Violet' & 'Flump'- crease
Sleek's 'Bubble Gum' & 'Bolt'- lower lash line
Sugarpill's 'Poison Plum' & Sleek's 'Sugarlite'- highlight
Covergirl Line Exact eyeliner
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara

I used pretty much all mattes for this look,
which I almost never do.
However, the brazen, clear color of Rarity seemed to call for such a thing.
I was uneasy about the harsh white on my lids, at first,
but it actually needed up working fairly well.

Stay tuned for more installments in the next week or so!
:)

Coloupop Cosmetics lippie stix & pencil in 'Flawless'

Today I have my last of the 3 lippie stix I bought from Colourpop Cosmetics recently.
Yesterday's was a gloss, today's is another satin.
Here's 'Flawless':

This was the first time I'd used a lippie pencil,
but it worked very well.
Here are both together:

I've never worn this purple-fushia color on my lips before,
but I. LOVE. IT.
In contrast to the other satin I'd tried,
the formula was considerably better with 'Flawless'.
I'm impressed,
as I've been with almost all Colourpop Cosmetics' lippies!
:)

Valentine's Vamp

So I wanted to do a super bold look for Valentine's day.
When I was playing and picking my shadows,
this is just what happened to transpire.

I've dubbed it Valentine's Vamp :)

I used:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
UD's 'Blackout'- lid
Sugarpill's 'Dollipop'- highlight
L'Oreal Butterfly Intenza mascara

Candy Cane Christmas Craziness

Who loves alliteration??
I know I do.
Always makes a good, cheesy title :)

Anyway, I know Christmas is basically almost over,
but I wanted to do a couple last minute posts that I didn't get a chance to do before today
(this being one of them).
I saw this crazy-fun look on Pinterest and decided to recreate it the best I could,
so it's by no means my own idea!

Okay, my eyebrows are horrid- I know this.
Not only do they need to be shaped,
but I struggled like mad filling this in correctly.
BUT HEY- this was all just fun and games anyway :)

I used:
UD's 'Downfall' & 'Undone'- crease
Sugarpill's 'Love+' & 'Tako'- upper lash line/eyeliner
'Love+'- eyebrows

This is obviously crazy and just for fun- not something I would wear out or take seriously
But, I like to do those kinds of looks every now and then :P

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Bold V-day look

I have a much brighter and bolder Valentine's Day look for you today.
Here's what I came up with:

I used:
Too Faced' Shadow Insurance
Sleek's 'Powi'- browbone
Sleek's 'Pout' & BFTE's 'Raspberry'- lid
Sleek's 'Sugarlite' & BFTE's 'Grape'- crease
Covergirl Bombshell mascara
Covergirl Line Exact eyeliner

This look isn't as polished as I would like,
but it looks okay.
What do you all think?

Mini Drugstore Haul

So I finally made a much anticipated trip to my local Walgreens,
and picked up a few great goodies:

Wooo!
My goal was to find some of the new Wet N Wild trios,
and I decided on these two (they were out of the other one I would have gotten, humph).
First up is 'Your 15 Minutes Aren't Up!'

*swatched without primer*

Odd name for a trio, but the shadows look pretty good.

Next is 'I'm Seeing Triples!'
*swatched without primer*

These are a bit bolder, and also look promising.
Both trios are mattes.
Stay tuned for looks and a review of them in the near future!

Also,
my daughter is almost 2 and OBSESSED with anything fairies.
SO, when I say NOPI had a Tinkerbell collection,
I obviously had to buy at least a couple.

Two very tame, lovely pinks by the looks of it.
I'll have a full post and swatches of at least one of these bad boys tomorrow :)

What do you guys think?
What have your experiences been with the new Wet N Wild trios?
Let me know! :)
