FROM THE VAULT- Lime Crime Carousel Gloss 'Snow-Sicle'

So considering this is my NINTH consecutive day being out of work due to the snow/ice,
I figured this gloss is a perfect one to bring out of the vault and showcase again.

This gloss is completely clear, but filled with holo/iridescent glitter.
It's GORG.

Though I don't wear this very much (mainly because the sticky-ness of it doesn't mesh with my super long hair)- it is really lovely. Very simple and easy with a little bit of pop :)

Colourpop Cosmetics lippie stix- 'Dalia'

So not only is the name of this lippie six seductive,
but WAIT until you see this bad boy.
With Valentine's day right around the corner-
if you're wanting to feel sexy and daring...
slap this sucker on.

Here's 'Dalia':

Sorry for the ghettofabulous pics;
I know they're a bit of a mess.
I've been super busy lately,
but I had to get this bad boy out!

For just $5, you can't beat it.

ColourPop Lippie Stix 'Ellarie'

Well, I have a newfound obsession.
I was told by GaGa for Nails to try Colourpop Cosmetics,
and I'm highly impressed!

I bought two matte lippie stix from them;
here is the first!
'Ellarie'

This hippie stix is described as a "deep, sultry cranberry"...
uh, yes, please!

Here it is in indoor lighting:

Annnnd in natural lighting:

It's absolutely gorgeous,
though I found it to be much lighter than the picture portrayed on their website.
Either way, I love it.

These stix are super easy to apply (even with my shaky hands)
and they feel great on.
Can't wait to buy more! :)))

From the Vault- 'Pelican Grey' & 'Snowglobe'

Well even though it's in the freaking 60's in January here in TN,
I'm going to at least have some snow of my nails!

Today's post are definitely form the vault.
They're two polishes from at least a couple years ago:
one from China Glaze & one from Kawaii Nail Lacquer :)

Here's the combo:

This is 2 coats of 'Pelican Grey' and 2 coats of 'Snowglobe' :)
Festive and sparkly!

FrOzEn !!

So my daughter, like every other person in the entire world,
is obsessed with Frozen.
When I saw a nail polish bearing the same name-
I knew I had to get it.

Here's 2 coats of Candy Lacquer's 'Frozen' over 1 coat of Zoya's 'Robyn' :)

'Frozen' is a clear base that's jam packed with silver and light blue glitter & holo glitter.
It's GORG. Just look how it sparkles in the sunlight!
It's best over a base coat of some solid color, so the glitter can really look dense.
My daughter is in love with this polish now,
and I am, too!

I've used several Candy Lacquer polishes,
and they've been nothing but great.

What do you guys think?

Glistening Snowcicles ;P

Hello, all!
It has been freezing cold and rainy here.
I can only hope that means snow (and yikes, ice!) and a subsequent snow day tomorrow!
We shall see.
In the meantime, I have a gorgeous holo, wintery mani for you today.

Here's 1 coat of China Glaze's 'Icicle' and 2 coats of CG's 'Glistening Snow'.

This combo was just mesmerizing to me.
Nothing fancy, but certainly gorgeous! :)

Melt Cosmetics- '6six6'

YUSSSSSSS.
It's finally here!

I've been lemming for Six6six from Melt Cosmetics F.O.R.E.V.E.R.,
and it's always been out of stock...

... but not this time!

I wish I had a better camera because my pics just don't do it justice.
BUT, here it is:

'6six6' is an über sultry, deep, matte, oxblood red.
It's the epitome of sexy (to me) and perfect for the Fall and Winter seasons :)

It's bold and beautiful.
I think one of the reasons I love it so much is because it looks nice against my fair skin tone...
not all lipsticks do!
I'm obsessed with the very fair skin, cat eye, and bold red lip this time of year.

Have any of you tried this lipstick?
What are your thoughts?

Zoya 'Blair'

Today I have the second polish from the trio I bought from Zoya recently.
This is the one that first drew my eye ;P

Here's 2 coats of 'Blair'.

'Blair' is a deep, red wine metallic polish.
It's easily opaque in two coats,
The formula was great, like most Zoyas.

I foresee this little baby being a great base for some nail art/stamping for Christmas :)

Maybelline 'Expresso Exposed' lipstick

I've got a sensual, Fall/Winter lipstick for you today!
I picked up this new shade from the drugstore a few days ago :)

Swatch:

It's a fabulous, sexy, merlot red.

UNLIKE all my other Maybelline lipsticks, this formula was very thin and grainy.
Even after a few coats in order to try to even out the color,
it didn't look so hot.
:(

Disappointing.

The color is lovely,
but formula sucked on this one.
Maybe it's just a dud?

* REIVEW * Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Powder

So it officially feels and looks like the holidays are here.
The mall and shops all over town are putting up their Christmas decorations,
and we have several night below freezing... and days that are barely above it :)
It's my favorite time!

The Product
In spirit of all the magic and sparkle of the holidays,
I wanted to do a review of a recent product that I picked up and tried for the first time a month or so ago:

This is an-almost translucent powder packed with sparkle and shimmer.
It comes with this handy brush:

I haven't used powder AT ALL for yearsssss because of how caked on they tend to look.
Will I give in and actually use this powder?
Read on to find out! :)

Some of it's Claims:
- Gives skin a luminous look with shimmer & "light reflecting particles"
- Lightweight
- Won't look metallic, like the cheaper formulas do
- Provides color like a loose powder
- Convient since it's similar to a pressed powder

The Review
I tried a similar product many years ago (Too Faced's Chandelier translucent, shimmering powder), so I had KIND of an idea what to expect.
It was hard to really get pics of the shimmer with my camera,
but on my skin, it looks EXACTLY like it does in it's box on the pic above-
Just as shimmery, and exactly as opaque as the color pictured.

So, now for the important stuff:

PROS
- Lightweight; doesn't look 'caked' on
- You actually get significant sparkle!! It's noticeable, but not like "Hey, I work the pole/corner" kind of noticeable ;P
- Comes in two shades, Luminous (which is what I have) or Aura
- The brush works great; not a useless add-on like with some powders

CONS
- It's a little pricey at $29
- It doesn't last quite as long as I would like, although it doesn't claim to be a long-lasting product

The Verdict
Though I'm not one to ever use powder, I use this bad boy 'erryday. It's perfect.
It's lightweight, easy to apply, and it gives that sexy shimmer that I love so much.
Especially around this cold, magical time of year- I like using a bit more sparkle than normal.
This product definitely lives up to the task and my expectations.
I highly recommend!

RATING (OUT OF 10): 9.5

Zoya 'Jules'

I have a nice metallic polish to post about today.
I bought this a couple months ago and am
just now getting around to swatching it for you guys,
even though i've worn it already several times :)

Here's 3 coats of Zoya's 'Jules'.

'Jules' is a metallic taupe with gold, silver, and champagne shimmer.
However, I found the polish to lean much more gold than anything else.
I was looking for something slightly more taupe-ish than this turned out to be,
 but I like it anyway.
:)
