N00b week! Day 7- 'Follow Me on Glitter'

good afternoon, fellow bloggers!

Alas, n00b week is at an end.
However, I picked one of my new favorites to finish this week off.

NOPI's 'Follow Me on Glitter' from the Kardashian Kolor collection!

* 2 coats, in daylight

'Follow Me on Glitter' is a black/dark grey base with tons of tiny charcoal glitter and chunky, colored glitter. 2 coats is all you need, really, & perhaps a top coat to keep it from feeling gritty.

So i was pretty stoked when I bought this, but now that I've seen it on I'm not really that impressed. Quite honestly, it looks EXACTLY like China Glaze's 'Tinsel Town' and OPI's 'How's it Snowin'- except the larger glitter in this polish are colored, instead of silver :/ A little disappointing, but I'm glad I tried it out nonethless.

Do any of you have this?
What are your thoughts?!
Thanks for reading everyone!

n00b week! Day 6- 'Pink Friday'

Hey guys!
So apparently I've got a pink theme going on this week?... but that was completely unintentional.

Anyway, YAY for tonight's post. This little gem I happened upon at the tanning salon I tan at :brow
Not the place I expected to find it, but hey! I'll take it.
Anyway, most of you have probably seen this as Nicki Minaj's whole collection has been all over blogs. I only got this one polish because, quite frankly, I'm not so crazy about the rest of them :o I actually don't like her and her 'music' at all- but I do love this polish ;p

Here is OPI's 'Pink Friday'!

* soft indoor lighting

* fluorescent lighting

* not too sure what's going on with my hands here. I wanted you to be able to see the overall effect, but it looks like the whole 'speak no evil' sign... or like I just burped. an overall dumb idea, in retrospect.

WOO!
So 'Pink Friday' is, of course, part of Nicki Minaj's OPI collection, and is a soft, baby-pink creme polish. I used 3 coats, but they really need adequate time to dry in between. Mine got a little clumpy :/ It applied really well, though.
I really love this little pink, and know that- as I get tanner- it'll for sure be one I wear a lot this summer!

Do any of you have this?
What do ya think?

n00b week!: Day 5- 'Rich & Famous'

Woo!
Giants won the Superbowl (yay!), and Tom Brady can suck it.

So n00b week continues today with this lovely, girly little polish. This is something I NEVER would have worn a year ago in my anti-girly mindset. However, I really love it now :)

China Glaze's 'Rich & Famous'

* sorry these last 2 pictures are blurry :f I was in a hurry today when I shot them; trying to beat my daughter waking up from her nap :$ I promise they'll be better next time!

So 'Rich & Famous' is a rich, medium, bubblegum creme pink. Though perhaps not a unique shade, it's super fun and frisky. It'll be a great summer polish 8) I noticed I really didn't have that many creme polishes, so I bought this with that in mind.

Simple, I know. But I like it nonetheless!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

n00b week! Day 4- 'Kim-pletely in Love' & 'Fabulous is my Middle Name'

Happy Friday!
I hope everyone has had a fabulous week! I'm ready to sit back and relax this weekend, myself.

ALRIGHTY THEN,
so today I've got an interesting pair for you.
I recently bought both of them (obvi) and hadn't planned on using them together, but I actually quite like the way it turned out.

NOPI's 'Kim-pletely in Love' & 'Fabulous is my Middle Name'

My camera just isn't good enough to really capture the delicate amazingness of 'Kim-pletely in Love', so go here for a good swatch.

So here's how it turned out.
* fluorescent light, no flash

* sunlight, no flash

I used 2 coats of 'Kim-pletely in Love' and 2 coats of 'Fabulous is my Middle Name', also.
The former (part of the Kardashian Kolor Collection) is a beautiful, delicate, light pink with a blue micro-shimmer, though you can't see it in my pictures because it's so subtle... but it's really neat. It's fairly sheer, so I'd suggest putting it over a nice pink base coat.

'Fabulous is my Middle Name' is a BRAND NEW polish just released this past January exclusively at Walmart stores (it was released with 2 others, also). It's a clear base with tiny silver glitter, and then larger red, charcoal, and pink confetti glitter. I don't have any other polish like this, which is what made me snatch it up.

HOWEVER,

now that I've seen it on, I really can't get past the fact that it looks like pubes on my nails :x Gross, I know. Either that OR whiskers... like after a guy shaves. It looks like a guy shaved right over my pink, yet-to-dry nails, so now they look furry and pube-y. Sigh.

What do you guys think?
Maybe I can get past it the longer I wear it...
?

n00b week! Day 3- 'Tanzy'

Good afternoon all!
After a GRUELING past 2 days, I've decided to not do squat today but blog and be lazy :P

Ok so, today I have for you the other Zoya from the recent promotion they had!

* 'Tanzy'

* sunlight, no flash -- looks very orange here

* fluorescent light, no flash -- looks more yellow/gold here.

'Tanzy' is a bright, tangerine orange with yellow and gold metallic sparkle. It's gorgeous!
It actually reminds me very much of pumpkin pie, and a good Fall polish...

Application was a dream and it dried super quickly!
This has really got me wanting to buy more Zoyas...

any suggestions?
What's your favorite Zoya?

:D

n00b Week: Day 2- 'Fun-Fetti' !

Hey everyone,
quick post tonight.
I'm continuing n00b week with one of my recent purchases that I'm the most excited about xD
I think it's definitely going to be my new favorite.

I give you Finger Paints' 'Fun-Fetti'

! ! ! ! ! ! !
so awesome.
* fluorescent lighting

* i guess the lighting technically isn't that great here, but I still like it.

:b

So this polish is basically too cool for school. 'Fun-Fetti' is a clear base with teeny tiny green glitter, slighty larger colorful glitter, and than large, hexagonal glitter. I just chose to put it over a base coat because I wanted all the individual elements of this polish to shine. It actually reminds me of OPI's 'Rainbow Connection'.

Regardless, I LOVE this polish and don't ever want to take it off. I can tell this is definitely one I'll be coming back to and using quite soon :h

What are your thoughts?!

n00b Week! Day 1- HITS 'Afrodite'

HAPPY SUNDAY FUNDAY!

^_^

So since I've got several new polishes over the past week or two, I decided to dedicate the next week or so to n00b week :)

There aren't many introductions needed for tonight's polish- it can pretty much speak for itself :)

* daylight

* fluorescent light

Hooray! :r
' Afrodite' is described as bright pink linear holographic polish... though I think the 'bright' part isn't totally accurate. It's more of a soft pink, but I like it all the same :d However, the consistency was a littttttle gloopy. As with the other HITS i've tried, it DID dry super fast- which is always nice :) This is the first 'mani' i've done in a long time that didn't get almost immediately messed up afterward. I try to do too much or my daughter JUST SO HAPPENS to need me right after I finish :$

Anyways, I love this little doll of a polish.
What do you guys think?

Have a good night!
