Bondage, Baby

Okay, so this look has more than just Bondage in it,
but I like the title :P

For anyone starting to feel incredibly uneasy, but Bondage I'm referring to an eyeshadow,
not S&M.

I did a look today using several shadows from Urban Decay's new Vice 3 palette that i acquired a couple weeks ago.
Today was really the first chance I've had to play around with it,
and it's amazeballs.
( full post of swatches coming soon)

The rest of the shadows came from older Vice palettes.

Here's Bondage, Baby.

This look would be a sultry, nighttime/date night look.
The colors I used reminded me very much of Fall, too.
I'm IN LOVE with 'Sonic' and 'Bondage',
and will def use them more in the future.

I used:

'Lucky', 'Sonic', and 'Bondage' are all from Vice 3.
'Ambush' and 'Derailed' are form Vice 2,
and 'Freebird' is from the original Vice!

Check back soon to see full swatches of the Vice 3 palette :)

Simple, Wearable, Golden Smokey Eye

Hellooooo.
I've been meaning to post a wearable smokey eye on here for awhile.
Now that the holidays are upon us,
many people have holiday parties, events, etc to go to,
so I wanted to post my recent favorite, wearable smokey eye look!

The eyeliner on the left eye is a little wonky, but i was too lazy to fix it :X
I really like this. It's easy and is a good wearable nighttime look for anyone to do :)

I used:
UD's Primer Potion
UD's 'Blitz' as base
UD's 'Jagged' in outer corners
UD's 'Black Market' in crease
L'oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara

'Blitz' is a gorgeous gold shimmer, and 'Jagged' is a chunky olive shade with gold glitter. Though 'Jagged' is gorgeous in the palette, it didn't transfer quiiiiite as well as i'd hoped on my skin because it was fairly gritty. It also had terrible fallout and was a pain to keep cleaning up, but I like the combo enough that I don't care :P 'Black Market' is similar to 'Blackout' and 'Black Dog' by UD, but it just has a touch more brown in it than the other two. All three shades blended great together!

What do you think?
Let me know :)

Vampy, Friday night look!

Good evening, everyone!
It's finally the weekend :)
UT plays one of our biggest rivals (FL Gators) tomorrow & i'm hoping we whoop them... it's going to be nuts :D

Anyway,
I recently saw this amazing look from Bows & Curtseys (a legit makeup blogger who's stuff is renowned) & it's probably my most favorite makeup look that i've seen in a LONG time.
SO, I wanted to try me hand at re-creating it my way!

I used many of the same colors she did but not in the same ways, and of course, not as well as she did- but I did my best :)

I dub this, 'Vamped'

This is my favorite look that i've seen or done in a LONG while. It's perfect for Fall, and is just so sultry and awesome that I can't help myself :p
The wine red lip (which looks a lot brighter in these pics than it actually is) really completed the look. I WORKED IT when I went out tonight wearing this, haha.

Lid:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
Sugarpill's 'Love+'
Urban Decay's 'Jet'
(mixing the two together creates the maroon shade)

Crease:
UD's 'Blackout', 'Black Dog', & 'Lost'
UD's 'Bust' blended out
UD's 'Midnight Cowgirl' as highlight

Lower Lashline
UD's 'Perversion' 24/7 glide on pencil & UD's 'Jet'
Covergirl liquid eyeliner in black

Lashes:
Urban Decay Big Fatty mascara

Lips:
Maybelline 'Red Revival' lipstick

What do you guys think?
Let me know!

Lime Crime Time!

HELLO!

So I'm super excited about today's post because one of the several packages I've been anxiously waiting for came in today! :O

As you may have noticed, pretty much anytime I do a make-up look/review/suggestions whatever- it's Urban Decay. However, with some of my birthday money I decided to branch out and try some other brands.

:star Introducing, Lime Crime's 'Mirror Mirror' :star

* Swatch, though it's hard to see it's shimmer here

* fluorescent  lighting

* outdoor lighting

* straight on shot- i look sleepy :/

REVIEW/VERDICT:
 YAY! :e
' Mirror Mirror' is part of their Magic Dust eyeshadows , and is a reflective silver with an iridescent shimmer. The effect really is etherial. I applied with my finger, but one could easily use a brush as well. Unlike other loose shadows, I did NOT find that it fell all over my face as I applied it, which was a nice little change :)
Aside from the neutral browns/tans, this look is the other one that I most commonly do. 'Tis a good nighttime look ;) I just bought one shadow since I didn't know if I would like them or not, but I'm definitely going back for more. They have a ton of several, super vivid colors. I really love the theme Lime Crime is based upon. It has a whimsical, mystical, and fantastical feel to it. It's quite fun :$ Each little "dust" is $14, which IS a bit cheaper than Urban Decay.

All in all, I'm very glad I gave these a go. They only have a few stores in the US (& only a few in other countries, too, for that matter) so their website is probably the best bet for acquiring their products. You should also check out their lipgloss/lipstick... that's definitely on my wish list, too.

AND, for all you nail guru's, they have a nail section coming soon! :i

There you have it.
Do any of you have any Lime Crime products?!
What do you think about it?

Thanks for reading! :D
