My Little Pony makeup series- *Twilight Sparkle*

So since my daughter is lately obsessed with My Little Pony,
I decided to do a makeup series based on the little ponies.
They're each packed with all kinds of bright and cheerful colors,
so it's a great excuse to get out my brighter colors and play with them :)

For today's post, I used Twilight Sparkle for my first look.

I decided to stick with various shades of purple
with some slight pink for the look.
I also, of course, had to have a bit of sparkle ;)

I used:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
UD's 'Bobby Dazzle'- inner corner highlight
UD's 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in 'Woodstock' & Sugarpill's 'Dollipop'- lower lash line
UD's Glide On Eye Pencil 'Ransom' & Sleek's 'Parma Violet'- crease
Sleek's 'Flump' & 'Sugarlite'- highlight
UD's 'Grifter' & Lime Crime's 'Pearl-ple'- lid
Sugarpill's 'Tako'- browbone
Victorian Disco's 'Stun Grenade'- silver glitter
Covergirl Line Exact eyeliner
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara

What do you guys think about my interpretation?
I had a lot of fun creating this crazy, bold, and sparkly look :)

Out of This World look

So over the past few years
I've become increasingly obsessed with galaxy anything- shoes, scarves, prints, phone cases, swim suits- you name it.
Why?
I'm a hippy at heart, I guess ;)

Anyway,
I decided to create a look based off of one
of the many gorgeous photos of this awe inspiring 'place' :)

And here's the look:

I used:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
UD's 'Bobby Dazzle'- inner corners
BFTE's 'Raspberry' &, Sleek 'Pout', Victorian Disco 'AK-47'- (pink part),
Urban Decay 'Flash' & SYN Cosmetics' 'Pandora' (purple part)- lid
Sugarpill's 'Afterparty & SYN Cosmetics' 'Famous'- crease
SYN Cosmetics' 'Bust'- highlight
Victorian Disco's 'Stun Grenade' silver glitter
L'Oreal Butterfly Intenza mascara

What are yawls thoughts?
I had a great time creating this look.
The colors were exactly what I wanted,
and then once I put that VD glitter on-
I loved it :P

Hint of Winter

I wanted to do a winter-y look today as we are basically in
it now in Tennessee, despite the fact that we don't usually get snow for at least another month or so.

Regardless, I wanted to use a couple pigments & glitters
I have yet to use or that are new,
so this was a good excuse :)

I used:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
UD's 'Prank' & 'Madness' & SYN Cosmetics' 'Delusion'- crease
UD's 'Strike'- highlight & waterline
SYN Cosmetics' 'Absolute'- browbone
SYN Cosmetics' 'Gravity' & Victorian Disco Cosmetics' 'Stun Grenade'- lid

Tinkerbell Inspired

Today is my daughter's 2nd birthday!
She's in love with fairies,
so naturally we are having a fairy themed birthday party for her.
In honor of that, I decided to play around with a fun little Tinkerbell inspired look.

This looked much cooler in person than on here.
You could see the full effect of the dusted green on my cheeks
& around my eyes.
It just looked better, humph.

Here's a super crappy pic of the mediocre design I did on my cheeks:

This design was fairy-like to me?
Eh, they're not symmetrical at all on both cheeks
(which drives me crazy),
but it was just for fun.

I used:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
BFTE's 'Envy'- dusting around eyes/face
Victorian Disco 'Yoda's Yoga Mat' - browbone
UD's 'Damaged ', Sugarpill's 'Midori ', & BFTE's 'Green Apple '- crease
 VD's 'The Fett'- outer crease
Lime Crime's 'Seahorse Discourse '- lid
UD's 'Stash'- inner corners
Covergirl Line Exact eyeliner
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara

Face: UD 24/7 Eyeliner in 'Graffiti'
& Lime Crime's Uniliner in 'Lunar Sea'

I also at one point attempted to use my UD Heavy Metal gold glitter eyeliner
in the inner corners of my lids too, if you see some weird, dark area in the first picture.
That didn't translate well, either.
Sweet.

All in all,
I actually really liked this.
It was fun and whimsical.
What do you think?
How would you have done a Tinkerbell look?

Skyrim Makeup Series- Altmer

Woooooo!
Classes are finally over (at least until exams next week),
and it's time to start my skyrim series!
I've thought long and hard about how exactly I wanted to do this,
and I think i've decided to do a look based on every race in Skyrim: Elder Scrolls,
which is my favorite Skyrim :)

Tonight's look is based on the Altmer.

The Altmer are the High Elves, skilled in arcane arts.
The are characterized by shades of gold, green, & amber,
with yellow-gold eyes and a light, pale gold skin tone.

Based on this description,
here's the look I came up with:

So what's going on with my skin??!?
Yeah so, I attempted to capture the 'pale gold hue' that is the Altmer's skin tone
by adding golden shimmer around my eyes & on some of my nose.
It didn't translate that great, but whatever! :P

I USED:
Face/browbone:
UD's 'Blitz', Maui Wowi', & SYN Cosmetics' 'Synfused'

Lid:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
Victorian Disco Cosmetics' 'Leia's Bikini' & 'Yoda's Yoga Mat'
MUG's 'Sea Mist '

Crease:
UD's 'Libertine' & 'Bender'
Victorian Disco Cosmetics' 'The Fett'

I had A LOT of fun creating this look.
I knew this series was going to be fun.
What do YOU guys think?
Let me know! :)

'Padawan Purple'

Happy Monday! -_-
My least favorite day of the week, meh.
HOWEVER, I have another look with my new Victorian Disco shadows today.
This is only the second time i've used them,
and I really had fun.

Here's
'Padawan Purple'

I used:
NYX Jumbo eye pencil in 'Milk'
'Youngling' & 'Emperor'- lid
'Mirror Mirror'- brow bone
L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara

Swatches!

You can see that AWESOME pink shimmer to 'Emperor', which is the main reason I was drawn to it. It was a little hard to capture in the pictures, so I wanted to make sure you could see it's true hue in the swatches :)

This was also the first time i'd used 'Youngling', and it's SUCH a gorgeous purple!
Im in love & can't wait to use it again.

'Mirror Mirror' is a classic, lovely silver form Lime Crime that I often use :)

What do you guys think?!
Let me know :)

Star Wars St. Patrick's Day

Helloooooo!
I'm taking a break from the Sugar Rush collection to do a makeup look today.
I still haven't gotten a chance to use any of my Victorian Disco pigments,
and since I bought 2 with St. Patty's day in mind-
I figured i'd go ahead and feature those :)

Here's 'Star Wars St. Patty's'.

I used:
*From L to R*
MUG's 'Sea Mist- shade over crease
VD's 'The Fett'- crease
VD's 'Yoda's Yoga Mat'- lid
UD's 'Vanilla'- browbone/highlight
NYX Jumbo pencil 'Milk'
UD's Primer Potion
L'Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes mascara
Covergirl Line Exact liquid eyeliner

So this look is very straightforward- just some simple blending.
I was REALLY impressed with these VD shadows, though.
Super sparkly and just a little bit of fallout.
'Milk' & UD's Primer Potion were more than adequate as a base for them.

You can't quite see how amazing both the VD shadows are in the pictures,
but they have hints or gold and purple to them- just lovely!
Can't wait to use the rest I purchased!

Victorian Disco swatches!!

Yay!
I've been so excited to get these babies in, you have no idea.
I've been itching to try Victorian Disco after seeing swatches & looks using them from Nancy over at The Dark Side of Beauty.
SO, after Christmas, I finally decided to buy some.

I purchased shadows from my favorite 2 collections of hers-
'In A Galaxy Far, Far Down the Street' (obviously Star Wars based)
& 'Care Package Glitters', which is based from the video game 'Call of Duty'!

**All swatches are over Too Faced's Shadow Insurance**
And hereeeeeeeee they are!

(From L to R):
'Lightspeed', 'R2', 'The Fett', & 'Leia's Bikini'.

(From L to R):
'Emperor ', 'AK-47', 'Youngling', & 'Yoda's Yoga Mat'

'Stun Grenade' & Desert Eagle'

AHHHH! Such amazingness. :e
AK-47, Stun Gun, & Desert Eagle are all from 'Care Package Glitters',
while the others are from 'In a Galaxy Far, Far Down the Street' :)

There are many other great collections from Victorian Disco cosmetics, too.
You can purchase a full size jar ($4.50), an mini (gram- $2, or a sample (1/4 tsp- $1) of most or all of the shadows. Stay tuned in the next few weeks for that!

I can't wait to come up with some looks for these!
Have any of the rest of you tried this company?
What are your thoughts?
Thanks for reading!
