CG's NEW 'Petal to the Metal'

This is probably my most FAVORITE polish of this season, period.
It reminds me faintly of 'Flip Flop Fantasy' from CG a couple years ago,
and i loveddddddd that polish. Still do :)

Here's 3 coats of 'Petal to the Metal' from CG's City Flourish Spring 2014 collection.

POLISH INFORMATION
Brand: China Glaze
Type: Creme
Formula: Eh, it was pretty streaky :/
Opacity (1-5): 4
Application: Okay. Nothing to rave about, but it was decent.
Price: $7 for a mini
Get This: online or local beauty stores like Sally's and Ulta

I freaking ADORE this polish.
It's basically a neon and is just perfect for the upcoming season.
However, the streaky-ness does completely suck. Meh.

CG's NEW 'In a Lily Bit'

So all of you know China Glaze recently released
a new collection for Spring 2014- City Flourish.
IT'S AMAZING.
I've bought several polishes from it,
and today is the first of those :)

Here's 3 coats of 'In a Lily Bit'.

'In a Lily Bit' is a super pastel lilac creme.
It looks almost pastel pink in some light.

I looooove this color,
but I was super disappointed in how streaky the formula was.
After 3 coats and a top coat- it evened out fine, though.

First look of Spring

Now that Spring is officially here,
I figured it was time to do a Spring-y look :)

I decided to use the four shadows I bought a couple months ago from Rite Aid:

This little bugger is from a totally unknown brand,
but hey, it was ONE DOLLAR.
So whatevs.

If you saw the swatches in the post,
it looked like it would produce some decent looks.
Here's my go with it:

I was highly pleased with the pigmentation and quality of these shadows,
especially since they were so dirt cheap and from an iffy brand.
I really love the bright, Spring colored combo they create together :)

What do you all think?

'On a Clear Day'

OH HAI.

Did you think I'd forgotten about you?
I haven't! I've just been SUPER freaking swamped.
I've been going to bed as soon as all my stuff is done and daughter is put to bed,
and the time that's usually able to be spent on myself (i.e. blogging)-
I've spent going to bed early instead :x

Anyway, I have a polish from a completely NEW indie maker!
Well, new to me anyway.
I hadn't even heard of the brand until recently.
Here's 2 coats of 'On a Clear Day' from Indie Polish !

'On a Clear Day' is a turquoise polish with juuuuuust a hint of shimmer.
It's really lovely, especially for the upcoming seasons :)
I was really impressed with this polish.

GO check out her store;
she's got some really cool & unique polishes there!

POLISH INFORMATION

Nail Mail!

blahhhhh.
Sorry I have been so MIA.
I had this astronomically huge senior project I've been working on that was due this week,
so FINALLY, i'm able to have a life again now that it's turned in.

My first post back isn't too exciting,
but it will be soon :)

I've got swatches and looks to show you all in the next week,
so stay tuned!
As for today, here's my nail mail that came in this past week:

Can you guess which ones these are? ;P

AND some new indies:

These are from a totally new (to me) indie maker.
I can't wait to show you!

:)

Zoya 'Jules'

I have a nice metallic polish to post about today.
I bought this a couple months ago and am
just now getting around to swatching it for you guys,
even though i've worn it already several times :)

Here's 3 coats of Zoya's 'Jules'.

'Jules' is a metallic taupe with gold, silver, and champagne shimmer.
However, I found the polish to lean much more gold than anything else.
I was looking for something slightly more taupe-ish than this turned out to be,
 but I like it anyway.
:)

Whimsical Garden

I wanted to do a look that combined the jewel tones of Winter
but also represented the new florals of Spring.
I ALSO wanted to use my brand new SYN Cosmetics shadows.

Here's what I came up with:
Whimsical Garden

I used (all SYN Cosmetics' pigments):
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
'Orlow'- lid
Delerious & Jilt- crease
LuLu- lower lash line
Covergirl Bombshell mascara
Covergirl Line Exact eyeliner

What do you guys think??
The sparkle and glitter from 'Jilt' is even more beautiful in real life than
you can see in the pictures.
The green 'Orlow' really surprised me, too.
So gorgeous!
:)
