Nail Mail & NOPI Gumdrop polish

I've been eyeballing the Gumdrop polishes from NOPI for awhile now.
They're super similar to Zoya's Pixie polishes & OPI's Liquid Sand.
I finally picked up 'Cinna-man of my Dreams' the other day,
and here's 3 coats + 1 coat of SV.

'Cinna-man of my Dreams' is a mostly warm, rose colored super fine glitter with some other variously colored fine glitters mixed in as well. You can really see the blue and almost holo glitters in the sunlight. 3 coats was best for this polish,
and man, is it gorgeous !! Even without the top coat,
this sparkled like crazy.
And ya'll know I love me a good sparkle ;)

NOPI brushes are some of my very favorite out there,
so this definitely applied like a dream.
I can't wait to try more from the Gumdrop collection.

NEXT UP, NAIL MAIL !

Being that Fall is upon us and Halloween is just around the corner,
it was time to get some new indies :)
Here's my most recent Halloween/Fall nail mail!

Can you guess which amazing indie maker made these babies?
;)
Stay tuned for swatches of them all in the next few weeks!

and had to share them with you, of course :)

Many of this is not brand new, but stuff i've been lemming for :P

ANDDDDD my prestige/indie cosmetic haul:
Can you guess which Carousel Gloss this is?

^^ AHHHHH SO STOKED!

& some awesome free samples :)

I CANNOT wait to swatch the Vice2 palette.
Stay tuned for that in the very near future!

NOPI's 'Tink's in the Pink'

I have the other NOPI polish from the Tink Collection for you today.
(see the first one here).
Here's 2 coats of 'Tink's in the Pink'.

'Tink's in the Pink' is a medium pink creme.
I my have a polish or two very similar to this color,
but I don't mind.
NOPI brushes are some of my favorite out there,
and application was super easy-
not to mention the name & theme was just too cute to pass up.

Just a forewarning,
you'll be seeing a lot of Fairy posts in the near future!
My 2 year old daughter is obsessed with them,
so i've really been on the lookout for anything Fairy (beauty or not).
Maybe it's just because i'm more aware of them,
but I sure feel like i've been seeing Fairy EVERYTHING lately!

NOPI- 'How Fairy Nice of You!'

So in my post yesterday,
you saw that I scooped up two new polishes from Nicole by OPI that are Tinkerbell themed.
My toddler daughter is obsessed with fairies,
(in fact, that's the theme of her 2nd birthday this year)
so I had to grab a couple of the polishes.

Here's 2 coats of one of them, 'How Fairy Nice of You!'
*shade*
*sunlight-ish*

'How Fairy Nice of You' is a lovely baby pink creme,
& part of NOPI's Summer 2013 Tink Collection.
It's been awhile since I used any polish by NOPI for some reason,
and I forgot how much I really like the width and length of their brushes.
They're short and wide, just like my nails :x
So it really makes application easy peasy.

What do you guys think of this polish & of NOPI's new collection?

Mini Drugstore Haul

So I finally made a much anticipated trip to my local Walgreens,
and picked up a few great goodies:

Wooo!
My goal was to find some of the new Wet N Wild trios,
and I decided on these two (they were out of the other one I would have gotten, humph).
First up is 'Your 15 Minutes Aren't Up!'

*swatched without primer*

Odd name for a trio, but the shadows look pretty good.

Next is 'I'm Seeing Triples!'
*swatched without primer*

These are a bit bolder, and also look promising.
Both trios are mattes.
Stay tuned for looks and a review of them in the near future!

Also,
my daughter is almost 2 and OBSESSED with anything fairies.
SO, when I say NOPI had a Tinkerbell collection,
I obviously had to buy at least a couple.

Two very tame, lovely pinks by the looks of it.
I'll have a full post and swatches of at least one of these bad boys tomorrow :)

What do you guys think?
What have your experiences been with the new Wet N Wild trios?
Let me know! :)

Spring Polka Dots

I have some simple nail art for you today.
I love polka dots in general, but especially on my nails :)
Being that it's Spring, I thought i'd do a fun mani with pastels & the polka dots.

I used:
OPI's 'Pink Friday'- thumb
Zoya's 'Pippa'- index finger
NOPI's 'One Big Happy Fame-ily'- middle finger
CG's 'Re-Fresh Mint'- ring finger
Revlon's 'Dreamer'- pinky

Stil not great with my dotting tool,
but i'm decent!
What do you guys think? :)

Reindeer nail art fail

Hey ya'll.
I have an attempt at nail art for you today.
Awhile ago on Pinterest I saw these adorable reindeer nails from TopCoat It,
and figured they were something I MIGHT be able to pull off with my limited skill in that area.

My hands are just too shaky,
(thanks a lot, genetics),
and I'm not crazy about how it turned out at all...
but figured i'd post anyway.
Maybe one of you pros can do it and actually do it well! :P

Needless to say, TopCoat It's were MUCH better!
:/

I used:
NOPI's 'Hard-Kourt Fashionista - base
Butter London's 'Yummy Mummy' - antlers
NOPI's 'Kourt is Red-y for a Pedi'- nose
Sally Hansen's 'White On' & Maybelline's 'Onyx Rush'- eyes
dotting tool
nail art brush

With someone who's actually good at nail art,
this can look great.
If any of you re-create this,
let me know! :)
Thanks for reading!

'Apple Picking' in the Fall

Hey everyone!
It's FINALLY begun to consistently feel like Fall here in Tennessee :))
love it.

So Sunday was my daughter's first birthday,
and we spent some family time going to this farm nearby that had pumpkins, hay rides, a petting zoo, homemade goods, etc. It was great!
A couple weeks ago I came across this fantastic polish on Etsy,
and knew I'd have an occasion to wear it soon...
Sunday proved to be the perfect day!

I give you Oopsie Daisies 'Apple Picking'.
macro! :)

'Apple Picking' has fabulous primary orange, yellow, red, and green hexagonal glitter mixed with red microglitter in a clear base (it looks cloudy in the bottle but that's just because of the suspension base she uses- it dries clear!).

Here's 1 coat over NOPI's 'Hard Kourt Fashionista' & Sinful Colors'
'Into The Mist' on my ring finger:
(my cuticles got DESTROYED in the cold, windy weather at my daughter's bday party the day before :( working to repair them- sorry they're more hideous than normal!)

I. LOVE. THIS. !!
This little guy is the perfect Fall polish. It goes great with tons of colors (see her Etsy site),
but I liked it best with this chocolate brown and deep green. It was SUPER smooth and fluid to work with, and dried totally flat and easy.

I got this for $8 on her Etsy site, and shipping was super expedient. This was my first purchase from this maker, and I can't wait to try other polishes by Oopsie Daisies now! :)
What do you guys think?
Have any of you tried any polishes from this shop?
