Valentine's Day nail art & mani

Ya'll know I'm NOT good at nail art.
I saw a design on Pinterest that I wanted to try and recreate...
-___-
It turned out pretty crappy.
But i'll post anyway!

This is SUPPOSED to be heart shaped balloons.
But... yeah.
Didn't quite work out.
I got my hand to stop shaking long enough to do a somewhat decent job
on the hearts, but the black strings are wayyyy too thick.

Also, I have a super girl and simply mani for you:

This topcoat is one of the first indie polishes I ever bought
a couple years ago.

This is 'Monsta Love' from GlitterDaze.
Very fun :)
Nice little throwback,
as it was originally posted here.

Glitterdaze- 'Flower Girl'

Hola!
I have the last polish in the little group I bought from GlitterDaze awhile ago for you tonight.
(see the others here, here, and here)
Without further ado,
here's 'Flower Girl'.

1 coat of 'Flower Girl' over 2 coats of OPI.

So this is 'Flower Girl' over OPI's 'Pink Friday'
(please excuse the total crap job of nail painting).
'Flower Girl' is a clear base with a rainbow of different colored hexagonal glitters inside, including holographic pink, red, green, turquoise, orange and gold bar glitter, and purple flower glitter- thus it's name.

This is a great topcoat that can go with almost any polish, but after trying it over a variety of colors, I liked this the best. It's a fun little polish, but I wish there had been more blossoms since it IS called 'flower girl' :/

It's not as unique as I hoped it would be,
but it's still pretty great.
You can get this polish along with alllllll Glitterdaze's awesome polish on their Etsy site.
This mini was $4.85.

So an overall not that impressive post,
but oh well!
Have a great day!

Day 9: polish starting with same letter as your child's name

(^ well that was a mouthful...)

Good morning!
Back to the nail challenge today!
Today's theme is a polish that starts with the same letter as your child's name.
My daughter's name is Layla, and i know,
the polish LAYLA would have been perfect for this, haha.
But i don't have any :(

In lieu of that,
I found some others from my stash that work!

This is 3 coats of NOPI's 'Ladies in the Limelight' on 4 fingers,
& China Glaze's 'Pelican Grey' on my ring finger.
But the polish I wanted to really feature here is this awesome topcoat, 'Little Miss Sunshine' from GlitterDaze :)

I got this little sucker awhile ago when I got several other GlitterDaze mini's,
and it love it! It's super unique.
It's filled with pink and yellow "blossom" glitter, white and pink bar glitter, white and pink matte hexagonal glitter, and pink micro glitter- all in a clear base.
You can get this for $4.75 (mini) on their Etsy shop!
Like I said, I've bought several other polishes from here and love them all! :)

That's it for me.
Have a great day, guys!

How About a Flirtini?

Happy Monday!
-.-
Barf.
Though at least it's over.
:)

So I have another indie for you today.
I've noticed that for like the past several weeks,
and manis ive done have used pink nail polish... totally unintentional.
I used to HATE pink- and look at me now :p
Anyway, tonight's polish IS another pink,
but it's worth it.

I give you GlitterDaze's 'Flirtini' !

Here's 2 coats over Zoya's 'Kylie'.

'Flirtini' is a medium pink base with pink microglitter, tiny yellow & blue circular glitter, & pink and white bar glitter! Application was actually a dream. I really figured it would be gritty and gloopy like a lot of other glitters, but this applied wonderfully and dried much smoother than I anticipated (though I still used a coat of SV to top it off).

The base color reminds me a lot of Lush Lacquer's 'Spring Fling', but other than that I found the two polishes to be quite different :P

I seem to gravitate towards more neutral toned pinks as some of my 'go-to' polishes,
and I foresee this one definitely becoming one of them.

Any of you have this?
Thanks for reading!

2 indie glitters & your opinion!!

Hola!
I hope you all are having a lovely beginning of the week!
The weather has been really nice here today- almost like Spring again!
Which is nice, considering we completely skipped that season here in TN...

Anyway,
2 different indie polishes for your lovely viewing pleasure tonight.
This first one is one of the GlitterDaze polishes that I received recently, and I can't decide which base polish (if any) to wear it with :/
SO I NEED YOUR HELP, PLEASE
:)

Tada!
This is adorable,
but I can't decide which way I like it best.
What do you guys think?!

Whichever one is the most popular is the one i'll use in a post :)

Moving on!
I got another DarlingDivaPolish awhile ago that I just haven't featured yet,
so i'm taking this opportunity to do that now.
Here's DDP's 'Too Schmexxxy'

So this stuff is literally  JAM PACKED with alllllll kinds of holographic glitter. Stars, circles, hexagons, half moons, YOU NAME IT- all of every size, and all in a clear base.

I couldn't decide which base color to use for a mani with this polish,
so I used my handy dandy nail wheel to just show you several options :)
(I swear this won't become a regular thing!)
1 coat of 'Too Schmexxy'

2 coats

From L to R:
OPI's 'A Grape Fit'
OPI's 'Fly'
ORLY's 'After Party'

The one downside to this polish was that, since there was SO MUCH glitter, I thought it ended up just looking like the bottle threw up on my nails :0 Even with 1 coat, it was just super hard to maneuver the glitter into the right spot, and it just all looks clumpy and bleh :/
Perhaps if I'd had a toothpick or something on hand it would have been easier?
I don't know. I was super stoked about this, but it kind of let me down
:(
However, I LOVE the rest of her stuff, so don't in any way let this deter you from buying from her Etsy shop. This polish, and most of her others, retail for $8.

Any of you have this or have any suggestions?

That's it for tonight!
I promise polish on real nails next post ;)
Thanks for reading!

Got that 'Monsta Love'!

Hey guys! I'm totally exhausted today after my grueling June summer class schedule.
IT BLOWS. 730-3:15 erry'day :(

Anyway, I got some great polishes in from GlitterDaze the other day,
& tonight's post is the first of several i'll do featuring them.
I chose to use 'Monsta Love' first!

'Monsta Love' is "ultra fine and large lavender, purple holographic, red bar, red shard, red heart, large hot pink, and other various sized purple glitter all in a translucent purple base". There is circles, hexagons, bars, squares- you name it. It's awesome!

(my more crappy right hand)

Here i've used 1 coat of 'Monsta Love' over 2 coats of Essie's 'To Buy or Not to Buy'. I LOVE this combo together and got several compliments on it throughout the day. You could probably use 2 coats, too, I just didn't want to risk it getting too clumpy and hiding all the different pieces of glitter. I followed with 1 coat of SV to help the glitter lay flat.

This little bottle was only $4.85 & GlitterDaze has TONS more than I want. So many awesome polishes, so for sure check it out!

Any of you have this?
What do you think??
:)
