'Seared Bronze' Glosstini from Catching Fire/Capitol Beauty Studio collection

Today I have a mini from Covergirl's latest Catching Fire collection.
Here's 2 coats of 'Scorched Bronze'.

and just so you can see more of the sparkle,
here's a swatch of it under indoor lighting:

'Seared Bronze' is a light brown metallic with lots of gold and slight red shimmer.
Depending on the light,
the polish looks way more gold than brown.
Either way, it went on beautifully & I loved it.

POLISH INFORMATION
Brand: Covergirl
Type: Metallic
Formula: Great!!
Opacity (1-5): 4
Application:  Awesome!
Price: $3-$4
Get This: at your local CVS or Walgreens

This was the first polish from the Glosstini line that I've tried,
but not my first polish from Covergirl.
If you haven't seen me swatch their polishes before,
know that they're AMAZING.
As good or better quality than some pricey brands :)

PCC- 'Ghost Host'

While reorganizing my stash today,
I realized that I still had a Halloween mini from Pop Culture Cosmetics that I forgot to post!
Whoops :X

Here's 2 coats of 'Ghost Host' over 1 coat of DollishPolish 'Baby Gravy'.

'Ghost Host' is a milky white crelly that has all different sized and shaped glitter interspersed-
stars, circles, hexes, shards, half moons, diamonds- you name it.
I like that it's something other than the typical Halloween colors,
with neon greens, blue, holo silvers, and pink along with the
blacks, purples, and oranges.

This polish was much thinner than the other from the same collection,
but it worked okay.
Just FYI, you def are gonna have to dig to get out most all glitters.
But it's worth it :)

Covergirl 'Temptation'

Lately I've purchased several Fall-ish lipsticks,
and this is one of them.
It immediately struck me from it's little niche in the display.
Here's Covergirl's 'Temptation'.

As you can see,
'Temptation' is a burnt orange color with gold shimmer.
It's unique and completely gorgeous.

Here's a swatch, taken outside under shade.

annnnnd inside with flash-

I freaking love this shade.
The shimmer is killer and gives it that extra umph.
Covergirl is not my most favorite brand for lipsticks,
but I'd still deal with it just to have this shade.

Old & New Halloween looks

H A P P Y  H A L L O W E E N !
:D

I decided to repost one of my favorite looks that I've done-
my Halloween look from last year.
PLUS, another Halloween look I did the other day!

Here's last year, 'Candy Corn'.

This was a dramatic & playful look.
Click here to see the full post & what I used!

This year,
I stuck with the same brand,
but attempted a different look.

I used:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
Sugarpill's 'Tako', Flamepoint', & 'Poison Plum'- lid
Covergirl Line Exact eyeliner
L'Oreal Lash Out mascara

Simple, but bright and Halloweeny :)
Which do you like best?

Hope you all have a safe & happy Halloween!

October Favorites!!

It's that time again!
Here are my favorite products from this month :)

1. Urban Decay B6 Vitamin- Infused Complexion Prep Spray
*not my picture

This stuff is the perfect last piece of the puzzle if you want your makeup to last
ALL. DAY.
It's a fairly new pickup of mine,
but I'll have a full review of this bad boy soon.
Suffice it to say- it's awesome.

2. MakeupGeek 'Burlesque'
*pic from makeupgeek.com

Just like last Fall, I'm still obsessed with the wine-red, plum color.
This is perfectly expressed in MUG's shadow, 'Burlesque'.
Tons of pigmentation & a hint of sparkle!
See it used most recently by me here.

3. Foils & Metallics like Zoya 'Channing' & CG's 'Strike up a Cosmo'

I'm a sucker for sparkle anyway,
and these shimmering fall shakes packed with glitz make me swoon!

4. L'Oreal Voluminous Butterfly mascara
*not my picture

This is one of my most recent purchases, so I don't have a review on it yet.
Needless to say, though, first impression are that this bad boy ROCKS.
Cannot wait to share with you all.

What do you think of these products?
What were your favorites from October?

Skyrim Makeup Series- 'Markarth'

I want to take one quick break from all the Halloween-themed posts
and do another look for my Skyrim makeup series.
I'm really having fun with these series.
The possibilities are endless!

Today's post is about Markarth:

Markarth is one of the largest cities in Skyrim,
located in The Reach.
This is a remote city characterized by it's stone and water resources.
The city is composed of the working district on one side,
and the noble Nords on the other.

As you can see, the city is made up of rugged terrain like rocky mountains,
waterfalls, and valleys.
This is what I used as inspiration for my look :)
Here it is!

I used:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
Sugarpill's 'Tako'- brow bone
Urban Decay's 'Urb', 'Mildew', 'Money', & 'Lost'- inner to outer lid
UD's 'Prank' ,' Madness', & 'Haight' and SYN Cosmetics' 'Delusion- crease
UD 'Vanilla' -inner corners
UD 'Lost'- lower lash line
Covergirl Line Exact eyeliner
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara

This is a pretty straightforward look,
despite the amount of shadows I used :P
It's nothing super fancy,
but I really enjoyed the color combo.
It's been awhile since I used so many UD shadows together,
and it made me remember why they're one of my
ultimate favorite makeup brands.

'Not So Scary' is a black based crelly filled with small, neon orange hexes, medium neon orange, black, & neon yellow hexes, and neon red stars.
I really liked the contrast between the black & neon colors in this polish.
It felt like a really cool, Halloweeny mani :)

Who Doesn't Love a Cosmo?!

I have my first polish from China Glaze's Fall collection- Autumn Nights.
I've been eyeballing these bad boys for awhile now.
Despite offering them in my last giveaway,
I hadn't had time budget to buy any for myself yet :P
SO YAY.

Here's a beauty and undoubtedly a new favorite of mine,
'Strike Up a Cosmo'.
This is 2 coats!

*drools*

'Strike Up a Cosmo' is a sparkling rose foil.
This reminds me vaguely of Zoya's 'Faye',
(hmmm, future dupe post?)
and is every bit as amazing!

Type: Foil
Formula: Awesome!!

Dark, Sultry look w/ Wet N Wild trio

So about a month ago,
I snagged another trio from Wet N Wild at my local CVS.
This one is a trio of black, white, and red,
called 'Three's A Party!'

Using the suggested areas for each shadow this first time,
(for simplicity & more mass appeal)
I did a look with it:

:P

I used:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
'Three's A Party!' trio
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara
Maybelline 'Red Revival' & 'Plum Perfect 'lipstick
Lime Crime Carousel Gloss in 'Candy Apple'

This combo is nothing new.
In fact, I've used it at least two other times in the past year alone.
However, for this first time using the trio,
I wanted to use the shadows in their traditional spots.
As it turns out, I think the combo is sick
and looks super sexy ;)
Gotta love 'Candy Apple' with this look, too.
What do you guys think?!

Drugstore Haul

So in the past week or so,
I've accumulated some goodies from my local drugstore and market.
;)

That's the new mascara from L'Oreal (can you guess what it is? :p
3 of the polishes from China Glaze's newest Fall collection,
a Covergirl lipstick,
and 2 new polishes from Covergirl's Catching Fire collection
:DD

Can't wait to try all these babies.
Have a good day, ya'll!

PCC- 'Candy Corn'

I've got another Halloween themed polish for you
today from Pop Culture Cosmetics.
Here's 2 coats of 'Candy Corn' over China Glaze 'White on White'.

'Candy Corn' is a milky white base filled with orange and yellow
 square and hex matte glitters.
I find that polishes with a stark white base like this are some of the hardest to work with,
or at least they are for me.
I love the square glitters in this, though.

POLISH INFORMATION
Brand: Pop Culture Cosmetics
Type: Glitter
Formula: Pretty good
Opacity (1-5): 2
Application: Okay, a little thick, but not too bad.
Price: $4 for a mini

From the Vault- 'Every Month is Oktoberfest'

This is one of my all time favorite polishes-
it's on my top 10 list for sure.
This is from OPI's Germany collection last year.
I swatched it then,
& i'm swatching it again now because it's just too appropriate :)

Here's 2 coats of 'Every Month is Oktoberfest'!

Annnnnd last year's:

'Every Month is Oktoberfest' is a deep purple/blue base
with gold and red shimmer.

As you can see,
depending on the light,
this shifts from red to orange to purple.

POLISH INFORMATION
Brand: OPI
Type: Shimmer
Formula: Great!
Opacity (1-5): 5
Application: Great!
Price: $9
Get This: lots of places :)

A good classic that is timeless :)
I love it.

Halloween look #1

I really failed at creating any type of creative name for my look today
:x

Thus, Halloween look #1 it is,
as I fully intend on posting at least a second one before Halloween :)

I used:
Too Faced's Shadow Insurance
Sugarpill's 'Tako'- browbone
Sugarpill's 'Flamepoint' - lid
Urban Decay's 'Black Market' & 'Lovesick' - crease
Covergirl Line Exact eye liner
Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara

This is a simple but super bold, festive look.
Sugarpill has one of the best oranges ever,
so I knew I had to use it.
I've also been anxious to use 'Lovesick' from Vice2
because it's just a glittery, delicious shadow :)

What do you guys think?
Stay tuned for a bit more colorful Halloween look in the next week or two!
